Mellow Flow: The Softer Heart
This 60-minute practice begins with a seated meditation on the heart center. Pulsations and balance work in table pose are explored before moving into a series of modified sun salutations that stay away standing. The second half of class includes a supported Upavistha Konasana (straddle fold), a supported supine backbend, supported supta baddha konasana (spine bound angle pose) and supine twists. Before moving towards relaxation, we return to an upright position for some seated forward folds and twists. Practice ends with long savasana (corpse pose).
