Vinyasa Flow: The Element of Earth

A Prana Vinyasa inspired practice set to R&B, soul and a little rock n' roll. This seventy-five minute long class is focused on staying low to the earth and grounding your energy. We start gently in table and anahatasana (heart melting pose) before moving into the Bhumi (earth) Namaskar and Surya Namaskar B to warm up the entire body and lubricate the hips. Once the hips are warm, we explore bhujapidasana (shoulder pressing pose), which is broken down and then revisited a second time later in the practice as well as the stages of galavasana (flying pigeon). Other poses explored include lizard, warrior two into extended side angle, high malasana and goddess pose. 

Students will enjoy using this practice to open their hips and pelvic floor and ground themselves amidst destabilizing challenges.
