Vinyasa Flow: The First Warrior

Enjoy a true music mash-up during this 50-minute class, covering multiple genres. Starting with some grounding breath work, this practice warms up with cat's breath in table pose, before transitioning into subtle somatic work on the belly. Modified standing sun salutations prepare the body for core pulsations in plank and salabhasana (locust pose). The alignment of virabhadrasana I (warrior one) is broken down carefully before plugging the foundations of the warrior into a flow to up the heart rate. Core work in navasana (boat pose) is used as a  pause before returning to virabhadrasana I (warrior one) again, this time with a shoulder and heart opening variation. As always, class slows down with seated forward folds and twists, before ending with savasana.
