Vinyasa Flow: The Balanced Moon

Set to mellow tunes, this practice starts seated with subtle shoulder and neck opening and moves very slowly into dual leg lifting in downward facing dog. Practice continues in a mellow flow through deep hip opening poses including lizard, skansasana (side lunge) and malasana (squat). Via Chandra namaskar (moon salutations) we explore the balancing poses of warrior 3, ardha chandrasana (half moon) and galavasana (flying pigeon) with or without a twist. Practice wraps with a supine galavasana (pigeon variation) and forward folds and savasana (relaxation).
